FULL GRID AND A GUARANTEED SHOW FOR THE GRAND PRIX OF SARDINIA
Tramatza (Oristano) Italy , 19 May 2023 – For the second consecutive year, the FIM SuperMoto World Championship will make a stop at the beautiful circuit of Tramatza, in Sardinia, and this time as well the grid will be complete with 32 riders at the start. The S1GP riders will be joined by the challengers of the S4 European Championship, for the debut of the only asphal class scheduled at the Sardinia Circuit.
The Grand Prix of Piemonte was featured by a thrilling race, where the large audience saw an incredible show thanks to veteran and multiple time World Champion Thomas Chareyre, who came home with the first red plate of the season. The French rider rode a storming race and took advantage of the mistakes made by his main rivals but will now have to battle it out with Marc Reiner Schmidt, who is looking forward to becoming the star, and Lukas Hollbacher.
In the Rookie, Chareyre’s teammate Steve Bonnal, will get to the track as the current championship leader. The young talented rider of the TC4R1 Racing Team excelled in the class and stepped on the podium of the overall standings. He will have to face Belgian Romeo Fiorentino, on the Gazza Racing Honda, and fellow countryman Tim Slazai.
Kevin Vandi, winner of the wet race that took place in Busca, will have to show his speed and performance also in case of dry conditions. S4 challengers will ride for the first time at this track and spectators will surely see a beautiful race and breathtaking battles.
